Chris Beaudry
Chris Beaudry is not just a father, farmer, and public speaker, he is a living testament to the transformative power of resilience and healing. With a deep understanding of mental health, trauma, addiction, and recovery, Chris has emerged from the shadows of his past to empower others on their journeys to emotional freedom. His life story, a tapestry woven with love, loss, and redemption serves as an inspiring reminder that even the darkest experiences can lead to light.
Elected as the MLA for Kelvington-Wadena in the October 2024 Provincial election, Chris dynamically advocates for mental health initiatives while sharing his expertise in mindfulness, meditation, and the qualities of a resilient life.
Growing up in Calgary Alberta and St Front Saskatchewan, Chris experienced the highs of childhood joys, from time spent on the family farm to summer days at the lake, alongside the profound challenges of being raised by an abusive mother battling addiction. In his teenage years, he turned to alcohol, attempting to mask the pain of his traumatic upbringing. However, two life-altering events shifted his path—achieving sobriety and coaching the Humboldt Broncos during the heart-wrenching 2017/18 bus accident that claimed 16 lives and left many others injured.
These pivotal experiences ignited in Chris a powerful revelation: pain must be felt, embraced, and integrated to foster true healing. Through his compelling speaking engagements, he invites audiences to confront their own pain, illustrating that safety and connection emerge not through avoidance, but through the courageous act of recognition and acceptance.
Chris’s message is founded on personal responsibility and self-inquiry, urging listeners to see their lives clearly—through a lens of reality rather than perception. He defines power as the energy that shapes our choices, emphasizing that the capacity to sit with strong emotions without reacting is a transformative force.
Trained under some of the world’s most revered trauma and spiritual teachers, including Don Jose Ruiz, Sadhguru, Dr. Gabor Maté, Ram Dass, Ram Dev Dale Borglum, and Lama Sonia Potie, he has synthesized their wisdom into practical guidance on grief, loss, and finding resilience.
In addition to his speaking work, Chris is a dedicated board member of The Living/Dying Project, where he champions compassion in the realms of life, death, and everything in between. Chris Beaudry stands as a beacon of hope, inspiring all to embrace their pain and emerge stronger on the other side.

Chris spoke for over an hour to our women and men hockey players and truly shared his journey with us. He was vulnerable. He was humble. He was…”
